firefighting

 Today i attended the fire fighting training program conducted by fire and rescue department of Maldives National Defence Force. The training was held at their training centre in villimale’.

The experts at that training centre conducted a theory session and then a parctical session which was very interesting.

In the training we were taught the classes of fire and what are the best fire extinguishers that can be used in different situations. We were also taught how to be cautious when dealing with fire.

After the theory session we were taken out side and were given chance to put off a real fire. We used water and fire blanket. Since this was the first time i experienced this I was a little bit nervous to handle it. But i successfully put the fire off.

Twelve scouts from 40th Malé Scout Group participated in this training. Upon completing this training, some of us would earn the Firefighter badge. I am really glad to be among the scouts who are getting the Firefighter badge after the training.
